Dr. Kenneth Kiplagat is the Managing Partner of Judsons Law and one of its founding Partners, originally as Okoth & Kiplagat Advocates. A distinguished legal scholar and practitioner, he brings over three decades of experience at the intersection of law, public policy, regional integration, and international commerce.
Educated at Yale Law School — where he earned both an LL.M. and a J.S.D. (Ph.D. in Law) — Dr. Kiplagat has built a career marked by deep intellectual rigour and practical insight. His early academic contributions in trade law and regional integration remain widely cited, and he has published extensively in top-tier international journals on arbitration, treaty enforcement, and legal frameworks for developing economies.
In practice, Dr. Kiplagat is recognised for his ability to advise on complex, cross-border matters involving energy regulation, financial systems, international trade agreements, and high-value arbitration. His approach blends strategic foresight with legal precision, making him a trusted advisor to governments, multinational institutions, and private entities navigating dynamic legal and commercial environments.
Dr. Kiplagat is also a former law lecturer at the University of Nairobi and continues to mentor the next generation of lawyers through Judson Law’s development-focused culture.
